Who Is Kelly Hoffman?
Kelly is an herbalist and massage therapist working in New England and New York. She is a graduate of Sage Mountain Science and Art of Herbalism Correspondence Course, The Advanced Herbal Training program, and has learned from many other respected herbalists. She spent over 5 years working at an herbal apothecary in New York’s Lower East Side, and working with the herbal community of the city, as well as co-founding a small herbal meet-and-learn group there. Her love of plants and plant medicine has been a life long relationship.
Growing up in southern New Hampshire, she was deeply connected to the spirit of the land and plants, and, an avid learner, pursued other avenues of education, taking her as far as an herbal medicine clinic in the Mekong Delta, to a medicinal garden in the mountains of Peru. She currently spends part time enjoying the woods and nature of the Connecticut River valley where she has a deep lifelong bond: making medicines and culinary delights from the land there, and listening to its rhythms. Her interests have taken her all over the world, and introduced her to a variety of cultures and environments but one of her favorite places is to sit high above her family’s hop field and listen to the coyotes sing in the valley.
