Who Is Megan Brown?
Megan is a community herbalist, gardener and teacher. She inherited her love of plants from her maternal grandmother, a first generation Irish woman, who was gardening into her 90’s. In 2005 Megan was drawn to the New England Women’s Herbal Conference. Meeting Rosemary and being immersed in the supportive learning environment at Sargent Camp, NH, prompted her to immediately enroll in Rosemary’s Apprenticeship. She went on to complete the Sage Mountain Advanced Herbalist Training Program, followed by the Ecstasy of Teaching Training Program. Inspired by her own teachers and her desire to pass on the ancestral knowledge, she began teaching a ten-month herbal apprenticeship.
Megan has attended University of Nairobi and Albany Law School, gone sky diving in New Zealand, lived on a dude ranch in Wyoming and worked as an actress in New York City before becoming a lawyer, mother, and herbalist. She lives with her husband and daughter in Halfmoon, New York where she owns her herbal business Harvest Moon Herbals.
