Our Herbal Teachers
At The Science & Art of Herbalism, we are honored to have a team of experienced herbalists who help guide students through the course. Each member of our Teaching Team has been personally chosen by Rosemary for their skill, dedication, and long-standing relationship with the plants. Many have studied and worked alongside her for years. Their role is not only to carry forward the tradition of herbal knowledge, but also to personally review student homework, offer thoughtful feedback, and encourage each learner along the way. With their support, the course becomes a living exchange—rooted in care, connection, and the generous spirit of the plants.

Teacher
Alicia has been fascinated with plants since childhood where she first encountered nettles in the pasture of her family’s Connecticut farm. Mother of two grown men, her youngest was born with a rare condition that ignited her herbal quest. Finding Rosemary’s Science & Art of Herbalism course in the early 1990s, she founded North Star Botanicals and blends her love of plants and astrology. Attending practically every East Coast herbal conference over the past three decades, she learned from the diversity of Herbal Elders and worked behind the scenes for many years. A supporter of United Plant Savers, past Vice President of NEHA and editor of Northeast Herbal Association’s journal 2005-2012, Alicia continues to learn from the plants, loves sharing her experience, and is honored to be part of Rosemary’s team. Inspired by working with the students, she continues her life-long passion of all things herbal!
